Back with a new wee fae! Sweet-Heart!

I have been gone so much lately! Finally I have been able to be in the studio for a bit- this is Sweet-Heart- and she is tucked into a darling handpainted china dish I found while out antiquing one day. Love those vintage and antique shops, don't you? I thought it would look good with her sitting outside the dish and fill the dish with Hershey's Kisses or some other prettily wrapped candy. Why not, right?

I am working on several new pieces right now- and using them to prepare for the online classes I will be teaching starting this month. Be watching for more information!

Back from IDEX

Well, it was a great trip! I'm so glad I decided to take some extra time to enjoy the Florida weather. It was fantastic every day we were there! The IDEX show was great fun as well- we had several artists participating in our booth. Thank you to all of you who made the trip to be there and make a great showing! I am working to download the photos and will create a slide show to share.

OMGosh, I can't believe it's been this long!

Well, I need to get a whipping with a wet noodle. I've been away from my blog for months now! Such a busy time... my daughter started her own business in November and I've been helping her with that- then she got married on January 1st so we had that to prepare for.. but really, that's no excuse for not checking in here with my blog friends!

Now my attention is fixed on the IDEX show in Orlando at the end of the month, I am looking forward to spending a few weeks in the warm temps of Florida and meeting many of my fellow artists at the beautiful Rosen Shingle Creek hotel and show. Then from there I head off to California for another dose of warm weather, then to Las Vegas! I cannot wait! Such fun!! and it will make this long cold snowy winter fly by. In the meantime, I have one teacup fairy listed on ebay, my only listing for January. This is Leighton!

Thank you for continuing to follow my work- and my hectic life! I've got more news to share, but will do that next time.

Well, to switch gears a bit--or a LOT!

This is Gisellda!! She's come upon a game of hopscotch and she's trying her skills at it. She's even using her candy corn as markers...and check out the ghost in her hat! It's fun to do something entirely different sometimes---

Faron- an artistic interpretation of Woman

Hi all!! Wanted to share my latest with you- this is Faron. She is posed on a gold base, with gorgeous wings, if I do say so myself!! And I think she looks sort of wild in her eyes too. I just love this medium, you never know for sure who is going to pop out. Hope you like her!

A Dragonfly fairy-"Torian"

Here is Torian. She's a dragonfly fairy- sitting on a branch. You might wonder how I got her to fit that branch so nicely, well, lets just say the branch fits her! It's made from 8 and 16 ga wire, covered in part with epoxy, and the a full overlay of a flexible clay. It's almost rubbery! I've never done one like it- the possibilities are endless...

Hi again! I wanted to share some photos of Jelina, a fairy maiden I had on ebay last week. She was very well received! Of course, those blond babes usually are....

Where does the time go?

It seems like forever since I've been here. So many things going on in my life right now! I am going and coming and then going again... you can understand, I am sure. But I did manage to get a sculpture done for ebay. This is Keesa, a tiny fairy sleeping on top of a mushroom cap. As sweet as she can be, I think!

Anyway, in the near future I will be announcing some exciting new projects and plans I am working on. Check back for more information!

One of the First Baby Dolls-the sexy kind, that is!

This is Galadriel, a Baby Doll Pin-Up. It's my intention to make a series of these sensuous, sexy figures-it's a lot of fun to design their delicate lingerie clothing and those stiletto type high heels too! I guess it's my feminine side coming out. She's on ebay right now--but be watching for more like Galadriel~

Been gone for a while, but back home again!
